A chord played on the acoustic guitar is defined by pulling two or more strings at the same time. By doing this you get a collection of tones sounded in harmony. There are many different acoustic guitar chords, start by learning just the elementary ones and keep practicing, it will become easier as you go. Start with an easy song which you like and then work on playing the chords to it. With practice you will find yourself moving on and being about to play a whole lot of songs.
